About Us
Established in 2004, in Kelso, Washington, Summit Attachments & Machinery designs and manufactures machinery and systems serving the Logging Industry.

Summit was formed by Eric Krume and Bruce Skurdahl to build and offer a newly designed Tong Thrower.  One that worked as an attachment rather than as a permanent part of a machine.  Following a successful launch, they then expanded the company's scope to integrating various winches and controls to shovel yarders to increase their capabilities.  Today, Summit is a key innovator and supplier of Steep Slope Winch Assist systems.

Eric Krume
Eric has been logging since the age of 17.  In 1995 he founded Krume Logging & Excavation, Castle Rock, WA.  His first hand experience in the industry directly impacts the design and implementation of every project. Whether it's an extreme duty grapple or a tethering system complete with state-of-the-art wireless technology for remote control and monitoring.  Eric's drive to improve the safety, efficiency and reliability of machinery coupled with his vision of where the industry is headed powers the company's innovation and quality.

Bruce Skurdahl
Bruce has been in the "winch business" since about 1981.  He helped start up Allied Power Products of Beaverton, OR, working there for 15 years. Then served at Jewell Attachments, Portland, OR, as sales manager for close to 10 years.  Throughout this time Bruce has been involved in the development of tong throwers, shovel yarders, Timbermast'r yarders and virtually any logging application that includes a winch.  Bruce's experience provides a broad foundation for every winch application.

We believe that building strong relationships is incredibly important and we work closely with our customers to develop solid partnerships.
